Privacy notes for founders
What the service handles when you browse the list, fill a basket and pay for placements, written without the usual fog.
The short list of things we handle
To run an order we need an account, the pages you want linked and the keywords you choose. We also keep the state of your basket, your balance and the status of every placement.
Payment details for top-ups and invoices are part of that account record. Treat this page as a plain-language description of how the service works, and read the terms next to it.
Why each item is needed
Why? An account lets you keep a basket, a balance and an order history in one place. Target URLs and keywords tell the placement process what to write about. The status of each order is what you see under ordered links.
None of it is exotic. Ordering a placement simply cannot work without these pieces.
If you pay by invoice, proforma invoices are available for top-ups, and they exist so your accountant can file the cost.
What happens to a target URL
Your page is shown to the placement process so an article can be written and a link can point at it. Once a placement is live, the link and its surrounding text are public on the donor site.
That is how backlinks work. A public link cannot be made private.
Browsing without an account
The guides on this site are readable without signing in. Opening the donor list or the budget widget on the home page is meant as a way to look around before you commit.
The budget widget is a local estimate. It does the arithmetic in your browser and is not a quote.
API keys and agents
If you order through the REST API or let an AI agent work over MCP, the agent acts with the access you give it. Keep keys private and rotate them if you suspect a leak.
An agent can fill a basket, but paying remains a human step.
Questions and requests
To ask about your data, an order or an account, use the account page. We do not publish an e-mail address on this site.
We may update these notes as the service changes, and the date at the top of the page shows the latest revision. For the rules of using the marketplace, see the terms for founders. Short. Read both.
