Walkthrough

Backlink building workflow for a first order, screen by screen

Seven steps from an empty basket to a live link, with the places where first-time buyers usually hesitate.

The order, in sequence

  1. 1

Decide the target before you open the list

One URL, one keyword. If you are unsure, use the comparison page from our teardown.

  2. 2

Open the marketplace and set filters

Narrow by niche, language, Domain Rating and organic traffic. The list holds 50,000+ vetted donors, so filters matter more than scrolling.

  3. 3

Read the row, not the headline

Domain Rating, traffic, referring domains, niche, language and price all sit in the row.

  4. 4

    Add to the basket

Nothing is charged at this point. Add two or three rows, then close the tab and come back tomorrow.

  5. 5

    Pick a content mode

Automatic uses your URL and keyword. Your own prompt gives instructions. Your own article hands over a finished piece.

  6. 6

Top up the balance and pay

Balance is topped up in the dashboard. Invoices and proforma invoices are available if your accountant asks.

  7. 7

    Track the status

Each placement appears under ordered links. Most go live in about 24 hours.

Three places where first orders go sideways

Choosing by price alone. A $1 row has a place, but a $1 row in an unrelated niche gives your product a link nobody reads. Check the niche column before the price column.

Sending everything to the homepage. Spread the first orders across your two best pages and you learn which page responds. One URL gets one keyword.

Checking too early. Google needs time to crawl a new link, so a Monday order judged on Friday proves nothing. Log the date, set a six-week reminder and leave it alone.

What an hour of work looks like

Plan about an hour for a first batch. Fifteen minutes to choose the target and the keyword, twenty to filter and read rows, ten to fill the basket, and the rest to write the spreadsheet entry you will thank yourself for later.

Quiet hours beat rushed ones. A founder who orders at midnight after a bad day tends to pick the cheapest rows. Sleep on the basket instead, and read the donors again with fresh eyes. For the money side, the price guide gives a feel for each band.

The three content modes compared

ModeYou provideGood when
AutomaticTarget URL and keywordYou want the fastest route and a clean single link
Your own promptInstructions for the articleThe angle matters, e.g. a use case
Your own articleA finished pieceYou already have text that fits the donor

After payment

The article is written automatically unless you supplied your own. It carries one clean link to your page. Nothing else. Open the placement when it is live and read it once. Does the sentence around the link make sense for a person who has never heard of you?

If a placement looks off, say so through the account page.

A note for agent users

Orders also work through a REST API and through AI agents over MCP, such as ChatGPT or Claude. An agent can browse donors and fill the basket, but paying is a separate step that a human approves.

Questions from first-time buyers

Can I change the basket after adding items?
Yes, since nothing is charged until you pay. Review the basket, remove what you doubt, and pay only when the rows still make sense the next day.
Where do I see whether a link is live?
Under ordered links in your account, where each placement shows its status. Placements usually go live in about 24 hours and are permanent dofollow once published.
Is the balance topped up through the API?
No. Top up in the dashboard. The API and agents can browse and fill baskets, but payment stays with you.
